Atom Division Champs Crowned

In the middle of both teams from the State of Michigan rolling into the sweet 16 in this years March Madness, we crowned our first Regional Champion of this tournament season.

This division was a ton of fun today, and we got to see some great young talent from both the Detroit Mission Stars and Reebok 2004.  Joe Tilney was the bench boss this weekend for DMS, and did a great job leading these young hockey players to the Atom title.  Caeden Tilney led the way for DMS this weekend scoring 4 goals and adding 2 assists, and he that earned him the divisions High Scorer Award.  Other awards in the Atom division were the Top Dishman (most assists) Logan Galub of DMS with 4 "apples", and the Top Goaltender was Kameron Ragon of DMS stopping 20 of 24 shots in the round robin.

Vinny had the Reebok team pumped to play after a rocky start in the round robin, but the boys came up a little short in the championship game.

Congrats to DMS, and Reebok both on a great tournament, and I can't wait to see them both at the North Nationals this year in Taylor, MI to test their talent against the rest of the top teams coming in!
