ATLANTIC CITY, A BIG DEVILS WIN, & NATIONALS!

This regional event is always one that I circle on the calendar at the beginning of the year.  Most of you know that NJ is home for me, so it is always nice to come back and spend a weekend in the Garden State.  On top of that, some of my favorite people in the sport attend this event.  Mike 'Bulldog' Rosmini, Anthony 'Vio' Violante, and Jason 'Lets Go Mets' Muro are all in the house!  Of course, Mike Stoever is the host, and for those of you who know Mike know that he is pure entertainment.

The weekend kicked off for me on Thursday, as I arrived at Atlantic City International airport, and 'Hot Stove' picked me up at the airport.  We met up with tournament directors George Brown and Dave McNeil at Revel Resort & Casino.  After a memorable night in Atlantic City, we headed to Choice Inline on Friday morning, and got the rink all dialed in for a jam packed regional qualifier!  With GB and Dmac having things under control, I headed up the turnpike and met up with some old friends for the Devils/Capitals game at Prudential Center.  It was nice to see my Devils get a much needed win, and cling onto the little hope they still have to capture the final berth in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

I got back to the rink in time to watch the Neumann Knights impressive win over the NJ Nightmare.  Neumann is one of the top collegiate teams in the country, and are hoping to knock off the reigning National Champion Lindenwood Lions at next weeks NCRHA National Championships.  TORHS 2Hot4Ice's very own Ron Beilsten, coach of the Lindenwood team, is hoping that is not the case!  Nevertheless, it should be a great tournament next weekend in Aston!

So we got up bright and early, and headed to the local diner before we got to the rink this morning.  Of course, it didn't meet George Brown's expectations .  I mean, it wasn't Waffle House, right?!?! The atmosphere at the rink already this morning has been great.  I think just about every team competing in this qualifier has their sites set on Nationals.  This market is certainly pumped due to the fact that this years Nationals is in their own backyard.

The merch booth has been jamming all morning.  We have all our new tee's and shorts in stock, and the feedback has been tremendous.  SinBin Threads has once again come through with the best merchandise available in the sport!

I will be back later with an update as things start to heat up....and seedings start to fall into place!
