TORHS & 2HOT4ICE MERGE

Ponte Vedra, FL; St. Louis, MO, 11/12/2012 – TORHS America Inc and 2Hot4Ice Inc, two of the premier inline hockey tournament series have announced that they have merged, creating one of the largest tournament organizations in the industry.

“We are two like-thinking companies with very similar visions, which is to promote and build the sport of roller hockey by running top quality events, ensuring that each one of our customers has a greater appreciation for our sport after they compete in one of our tournaments,” says Joe Bertaccini, President of 2Hot4Ice, Inc.  “While we both run successful events on our own, we realize that as one, we can offer our customers a better tournament experience.”

“We are each strong in totally different markets, only overlapping in Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Denver,” says Ron Beilsten, President of TORHS America, Inc.  “This new alignment will allow our customers to be exposed to a larger base of teams from areas that they have not normally been accustomed to competing against.”

The new company, which at the outset, will go by TORHS 2Hot4Ice, will maintain the existing regional qualifying schedule, which is available on our website.  They have confirmed two Winter Cup events, January 4-6 at Joe Dumars Fieldhouse in Detroit, MI and January 25-27 at Dreamsports Center in Apex, NC.

To satisfy the teams, as well as existing commitments to the cities of Detroit and Raleigh respectively, they will be hosting a North National Tournament at Taylor Sportsplex June 21st -29th 2013, and a South National Tournament at Dreamsports Center July 5th - 10th, 2013.  2014 will feature the first combined National Tournament, and an announcement featuring the date and location of that event is expected very soon.
