Sunday Morning Nailbiters

Sunday is playoff and championship time and there was no shortage of drama this morning. Our longest game featured a Peewee Tier 1 semi-final matchup between RBK 01 Michigan and the Mission Storm.  RBK, down by a goal with less than a minute to play, managed to tie the score and force a Sudden Death Overtime.  Neither team managed to score during the 3 on 3 and still remained deadlocked after the 2 on 2.  RBK pulled out the victory in the shootout. 

The following game was the Mite Championship game between Reebok Michigan 02 and Detroit Mission Stars.  RBK erased a 5 goal 1st Period deficit including 2 within the last 30 seconds of regulation to force OT.  The Stars managed to regroup to pull out the Championship in OT.
