Squirt Championship

There was no letdown in action for our second Championship game of the day, as the Squirt Final went down to the wire with the Vikings scoring an open netter to squeak out a 5-3 victory over the Cougars. For the Viking players that played in both Mite and Squirt Divisions, this was their second championship of the day, making for a good day's work. 

Individual honors went out to Tai Stern, our Top Dishman, Kelsey Showers, our Top Scorer, and Christian Hartner, our Top Goaltender, all with the Valken Vikings.

Off the rink, Joe made an impromptu trip up the pike to watch his hometown Devils lose a tough 2-1 game to the Leafs, while in between the action on the rink here, I caught my Bruins on TV also suffer a 2-1 loss to the Canadiens.  Tough night for us as fans.

There is sure to be more great action on the rink as the Adults and 18's wrap up things after the midnight hour.  Already had a double-OT semi-final Tier 1 game with HockeyMutt coming out on top to set up a showdown with the Scorchers.
