RHA Announces Coach's Membership Requirement & Level One Certification

Attention all coaches. As of this year, all coaches who will be on the bench during an RHA sanctioned tournament will be required to purchase the RHA membership, just as the players. With a constant risk for injury and the importance to keep everyone protected at our events, this requirement is a no brainer. All coaches should go to www.rollerhockeyalliance.com to sign up for this membership.

We are also very excited to announce the development of our 'Level 1 Coaching Certification'. There is no added charge for this certification test, as it is included with the RHA coach’s membership along with the insurance coverage. All coaches will read a short document that will include: code of ethics, concussion awareness/protocol, and some roller hockey game play topics. Once the reading is completed, there will be a brief test for all coaches to take; those that pass will receive confirmation of their 'Level One Certification'.

All coaches who will be on the bench for either TORHS 2Hot4Ice Nationals, NARCh Finals, or State Wars must have taken and passed this certification test. Even though you have until the summer to get this done, we highly suggest that all coaches do this early on when you register for your RHA membership. Each tournament organization will require teams to list coaches and membership #s on their rosters this year.
