2020 Nationals Information (as of May 29th)

by Joe Bertaccini

We are happy to announce that we will be hosting the 2020 TORHS National Championships.  We appreciate all the emails and calls while we worked to put together this event, which undoubtedly will be one of the most unique events we have ever put on.  Please understand that we have spent the last couple weeks in many meetings with local county officials, the facility, and our staff in an effort to understand if we can safely host this event, and what protocols we will have to follow.  With the situation being fluid and things changing weekly, our plan will be to outline the protocol we will be following as we get closer to the event.  Here are the details:

  • Dates for the event are July 2-11
  • We will be operating on 2 rinks
  • Deadline to enter is June 12th
  • Updated block schedule (image below)

Given these details, space will be limited!  We are asking that teams who are interested register as quickly as possible to lock in your spot.  If you are working on a team, please get in touch with our office or one of our tournament directors so that we can have you on our list.

We will be STRICTLY enforcing the STAY-TO-PLAY policy.  ONLY local teams, meaning teams sleeping in their own bed, will be given a pass.  Local is defined as your team is Tampa based!  Please understand that any team that is not following proper protocol will be required to pay the $300 penalty.

In closing, we understand that given the current situation facing many families, some may not be able to attend this year’s event due to financial hardships or because they simply do not feel comfortable.  That is okay, and we understand.  For those of you who will be attending, please know that we will be doing everything in our power to make this event an unforgettable one, and giving you the opportunity to have a bit of normalcy back in your day to day lives.

If you have any further questions, please contact our office and speak to one of our tournament directors.
