Roller hockey is played on any indoor or outdoor flat surface that doesn’t have debris.
The game features either two 15-minute stop time halves or two 22-minute running time halves. This is determined by the league or sponsoring body.
A face-off begins play. After a goal is scored, a face-off takes place to put the puck back into play.
Checking, or body blocking, is not allowed in the game. Accidental contact is permissible, but if it escalates to checking, a penalty will be assessed.

Shots may be attempted from any spot in the playing area.
The puck can be kicked, but if a goal is scored off a kicked puck, the goal will not count.
