NICC Roller Hockey, played at each TORHS Regional, where every game matters!  Six American conferences, six sets of Conference Champions, and eight National Titles (Atom through PRO).

TORHS NICC (National Inline Conference Championships)

The NICC will have six (6) conferences.  The NICC is structured similar to the NCAA.  The standings will be the results from teams competing at the TORHS regional events.  The NICC will assist in proper seeding for the National Championships, and give teams and players goals and achievements to strive for within their proper level of competition.

Stats will be published on the website throughout the season.

Points will also be accumulated at the Winter Cup Finals.

Points also accumulate from ANY Regional a team competes in regardless of the Conference.
(i.e. a MAC Conference team from Michigan that competes in a Texas (SBC) Regional will accumulate points for the MAC Conference not the SBC.-every game you play in truly matters!!)

Awards for the Season Conference Winners
Opening Ceremonies at the
TORHS Nationals

At the TORHS Nationals, in each conference, the season winner will receive team awards for each division.
The conference champions in each conference, in each age division (Atom through Midget) will play against the other Regional Conference Champions for the NICC National Inline Conference Championship title, the conference winners will compete in the NICC division for free.

Playing in the NICC provides every athlete, from six regions, with an opportunity to represent their conference in a national championship just like college athletes do across America .
Not only will the winners of each division of each conference play for the NICC title, they can play at the TORHS America Nationals in one action-packed trip.
Division winners in every conference, Atom through Midget, will receive custom team jerseys for the NICC representing their conference.

With the NICC every game matters!

TORHS NICC
National Inline Conference Championships

TORHS America will offer the NICC at each of the TORHS Regional events and the Conference Championships.

Each team participating in a regional and the conference championships will accumulate points for the season standings.

Teams participating in One (1) regional can play in the NICC Conference Championship Tournament in Division AAA, Division AA or Division A.
Teams that have not participated in a regional prior to the NICC Conference Championship Tournament, can participate in Division AAA at the NICC Conference Championship Tournament, to qualify for the National Championships in July, 2008.

Teams must play in two (2) Regionals to qualify to win their conference season standings.  And accumulate the most points within their division and their conference.

Points will be accumulated as follows:

Point System
2 pts - For a win in each game
1 pt - For a Round-Robin O.T. loss in each game
2 pts. - for a Round-Robin O.T. win in each game.
2 pt - for a bye in each game.
If the team receives a bye in the playoffs,
the team will receive 2 pt towards their season standings.
2 pt - for a tournament win ( 1st Place )
1 pt - for a tournament ( 2nd Place )
0 pts - for a lost in each game

All points will be accumulated over the TORHS 2008 season.

The team accumulating the most points at the end of the season will be the TORHS NICC Champion.

All Teams must be present at the Conference Championship Tournament to be eligible to win their conference.
Conference Championship Tournament is double points!

The winner will receive as usual, the best awards that teams have come to expect, at the Tournament Ceremonies at the NICC Championships, held within your conference.

The TORHS NICC is in addition to the normal TORHS Regional Qualifiers.

For teams that do not actively participate in the NICC, the teams will still qualify at the regional events, for AAA, AA and A, for the National Championships under the normal guidelines.

The NICC Championship tournament is a season ending tournament for each conference, which will be held each year for all teams within the conference to have an opportunity for teams to win the NICC Championship tournament and establish a higher seeding for the TORHS National Championships.

Each NICC Championship tournament will offer AAA and AA.

The seeds for AAA and AA, for the NICC Championship tournament, will be based on the standings throughout the season.

TORHS requires all teams to participate in a minimum of two (2) regionals to qualify for AAA and AA for the NICC Championship tournaments.  If not, all other teams will be required to play AAA at the NICC Championship tournament.

Teams must have 50 percent of players on team to accumulate points.

Roster Restrictions

  1. Rosters are limited to three (3) roster changes from the beginning of the season (first regional in your conference), until the end (the NICC Championship tournament for your conference).
  2. A player may not play in AAA, AA and A in the same Age Division.
  3. A player may not play on a AA at Nationals if qualified with a AAA team in the same Age Division.

(AA or A).
